From December 27 to 31, an agricultural fair is taking place in Bishkek at the Turdakuna Usubaliev Square, organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The main objective of this event is to provide citizens with local food products at reasonable prices.
During his visit to the fair, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, emphasized the importance of such events, which help eliminate intermediaries between producers and consumers.
He congratulated the fair participants on the upcoming New Year and noted that agricultural fairs are regularly held in Bishkek. The initiative of Bakyt Torobaev benefits both farmers and consumers, allowing them to purchase products directly and at lower prices. "Farmers offer their goods below market prices, and enterprises sell at factory prices. This promotes direct interaction between producers and consumers, thereby restraining the rise in prices for essential food products," added the head of the Cabinet.
Additionally, Kasymaliev emphasized that prices for meat at the fair are within the established norms: beef is sold for up to 680 soms per kilogram, and lamb for up to 690 soms.
He also stated the intention to continue holding similar fairs next year, with similar events taking place in other regions of the country.
