The Ministry of Labor created more than 25,000 jobs in Kyrgyzstan over the year

The social contract program has significantly impacted the labor market

According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, 25,391 new jobs were created in Kyrgyzstan in 2025.

One of the main factors in increasing employment was the expansion of the social contract program. This year, the amount of social assistance under the contract increased from 100,000 to 150,000 soms, allowing for the signing of 13,331 social agreements totaling 150 million soms across the country.

The ministry noted that the increase in assistance contributed to attracting more families to the program, improving their financial situation and enabling them to develop small businesses. This also led to increased economic activity, especially in rural areas.

As part of this program, 13,964 jobs were created in 2025, with 90% of participants being women, mainly from the regions. The most popular employment sectors include:

- agriculture — 77.7%,

- services — 8.9%,

- manufacturing — 7.3%,

- trade — 6.1%.

To support entrepreneurial initiatives, program participants can also receive interest-free loans for up to three years, amounting to up to 200,000 soms. In 2025, 1,101 participants of the social contract received such assistance.

Additionally, within the framework of paid public works aimed at developing social infrastructure in the regions, 10,716 jobs were created, as well as 711 positions for personal assistants.

The ministry emphasized that the social contract remains an important tool for supporting employment and developing small entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan.
