Kyrgyzstan can fully pay off its accumulated external debt by 2035

The President of the country shared plans for repaying the national debt


According to President Sadyr Japarov's statement, Kyrgyzstan has the opportunity to completely eliminate its external debt by 2035. This information was announced at the IV People's Kurultai, which took place in Bishkek.

The head of state also provided a forecast for payments over the next five years:

- 2025 — $857 million (already paid);

- 2026 — $1.048 billion;

- 2027 — $1.277 billion;

- 2028 — $1.326 billion;

- 2029 — $1.326 billion;

- 2030 — $1.201 billion.

Japarov noted that starting from 2030, the volume of payments will decrease, and by 2035, the Kyrgyz side will be able to fully settle the state debt that has accumulated over the past three decades.
