At the meeting held in Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of science and innovation for sustainable socio-economic development, as well as for achieving technological sovereignty and ensuring the national security of the country.
During the session, reports were presented on the current state of the scientific sector, identified problems, and prospects for its development. Special attention was given to improving the regulatory framework of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as issues related to increasing state support in the field of geological science.
The government was recommended to implement systemic measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of scientific activities. This includes developing mechanisms for state orders, gradually increasing funding, rational use of resources, as well as modernizing geological science and strengthening the human and material-technical potential of scientific institutions.
