The Head of the Cabinet, Kasymaliyev, congratulated customs officers on their professional holiday
Kasymaliev emphasized the key role that the customs service plays in ensuring the economic security of the country and in forming the budget. He also highlighted the importance of the reforms being implemented, noting that thanks to digital technologies and process optimization, more transparent conditions for doing business have been created. As a result, the time required for customs procedures has significantly decreased, and the number of control stages has been halved, which in turn has reduced the administrative burden and contributed to the growth of business activity.
These changes have significantly impacted budget revenues.
According to Kasymaliev, a revenue forecast of 151.7 billion soms has been set for the customs service for 2025, which is 23.2% more than in 2024. As of December 30, 2025, 156.6 billion soms had actually been collected, which is 103.2% of the planned level—an overachievement of the plan by 4.9 billion soms.
Moreover, he added that by the end of the year, the customs service intends to collect 157 billion soms, exceeding the approved plan by 5.3 billion soms.
“These results confirm the stability of the customs system and the effectiveness of the reforms being carried out. However, at the same time, the workload on employees has increased. The volume of processed declarations has significantly risen in recent years: if in 2021 about 113 thousand declarations were processed, by the end of 2024 their number exceeded 630 thousand. This growth was achieved without increasing the number of employees and became possible thanks to the digitalization and automation of processes,” he explained.
In conclusion of his speech, Kasymaliev wished everyone good health, prosperity, professional resilience, and new achievements for the benefit of the Kyrgyz Republic!
