Kyrgyzstan increases the volume and range of exports to China

According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, one of the main directions of the country's foreign economic activity in 2025 has become the active increase of exports to China. Currently, agreements have been reached on eight protocols concerning the supply of goods such as wool, cashmere, beans, meat, and poultry.

Three protocols regarding the export of leather raw materials and thermally processed meat have also been approved. One of the significant achievements of 2025 was the start of dried fruit exports: the first batch of 23 tons of dried apricots has been successfully shipped to China. The ministry is currently preparing the necessary documents to begin the supply of vegetable oil, wine, and fresh vegetables to the Chinese market.

In addition to expanding eastern directions, the republic is actively strengthening its positions in other international markets. For instance, about 300 kg of honey has been sent to the United Kingdom, which is an important step towards obtaining permission to export this product to EU countries. Furthermore, the high potential of local livestock has been confirmed, as reflected in the export of 144 horses to Saudi Arabia.

Kyrgyz producers are also beginning to actively use digital trading tools, allowing them to expand their sales channels. The export of dried fruits, honey, and processed products is carried out through the Wildberries marketplace, which opens access to a wide audience of consumers in the online space. The expansion of supply geography in 2025 has become an important factor in supporting local producers and the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan's agricultural sector.
