Cargoes violating the phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU will not be allowed in Kyrgyzstan

Recently, an unscheduled inspection was conducted at the phytosanitary control points "Ak-Tilek" and "Kant," located on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. The inspection was carried out by Maksat Kocherov, the director of the department of chemicalization, plant protection, and quarantine at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the ministry's press service.

During the inspection, it was noted that strict adherence to phytosanitary requirements is necessary. Participants in foreign economic activity were given instructions to enhance control during the import and export of quarantine products.

Freight carriers were reminded of the need to take measures in case of detecting violations of plant quarantine legislation. This may include the return, destruction, or treatment of agricultural products of plant origin.

Goods that do not meet the phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU and may pose a threat to safety will not be allowed to enter Kyrgyz territory.
