The 14th meeting of the Council for Simplifying Trade Procedures (CSTP) was held in Bishkek, as reported in a press release from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This event gathered representatives from government structures, the business community, and international partners involved in development issues.
During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the CSTP Plan for 2025–2027 for the year 2025 were discussed, as well as strategic priorities and main directions for further work on simplifying trade procedures in the country. Attention was given to issues of digitalization, inter-agency cooperation, and regional collaboration.
During the event, a video presentation was shown demonstrating the implementation of the electronic queue system at Kyrgyzstan's border crossing points, aimed at improving the transparency of procedures, reducing waiting times, and creating more comfortable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity.
At the meeting, participants discussed key achievements and challenges in the area of simplifying trade procedures. In particular, several reports were presented:
- a presentation by the State Customs Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the process of digitalization and simplification of trade procedures;
- a presentation by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic on creating conditions for international road transport;
- a presentation by the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies of the Kyrgyz Republic on the progress of the Plan for Simplifying Trade Procedures for 2025–2027;
- a presentation by the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Environmental Protection of the Kyrgyz Republic, dedicated to phytosanitary control within the CSTP Plan for 2025;
- a presentation by the State Enterprise "Single Window Center" under the State Customs Service on the work done in 2025 to simplify trade procedures.
