In connection with the celebration of the New Year, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan announced the temporary closure of two vehicle checkpoints on the border with China.
According to information from the agency, the checkpoints "Torugart-road" and "Irkeshtam-road" will not operate on January 1, 2026.
The resumption of the passage of citizens, vehicles, and cargo is scheduled as follows:
- The "Irkeshtam-road" checkpoint will open on January 1, 2026, at 22:00;
- The "Torugart-road" checkpoint will be available from January 2, 2026, at 08:00.
