This year in Kyrgyzstan, as in most Central Asian countries, there is a significant decrease in water resources. This information was announced at a government meeting.
As of today, the volume of water in the Toktogul reservoir is 9.102 billion m³, which is 1.631 billion m³ lower compared to the same period in 2025.
In this regard, experts warn of the possible consequences of water shortages, which may affect electricity production. In this situation, strict adherence to electricity consumption limits becomes crucial. However, analytical data shows that compliance with these limits is not always observed in practice.
