Chinese Investments in Central Asia Continue to Grow for the Last 9 Years

- The growth of Chinese investments in Central Asia has continued for nine years, according to the EDB report (2025).

From 2016 to 2025, the volume of Chinese FDI in the region's countries increased from $19.6 billion to $35.9 billion.

During the "Central Asia - China" summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced a grant of 1.5 billion yuan ($205 million) for Central Asian countries.

EDB analysts emphasize: "These agreements confirm that China continues to successfully combine private investments with institutional support, thereby strengthening its economic influence in the region."
