The bank presented a macroeconomic forecast for the period from 2026 to 2028
In its new macroeconomic forecast for 2026-2028, the EADB predicts an acceleration of economic growth in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. According to experts, the Central Asian countries will continue to demonstrate high growth rates due to increased investments and domestic demand.
Kazakhstan plans to achieve this through the development of infrastructure projects and non-raw material exports, which will help offset the decline in oil prices.
Kyrgyzstan holds a leading position in the region for GDP growth, which will be supported by investments in transport, energy, and housing construction.
Tajikistan is also expected to maintain high GDP growth rates this year, driven by the expansion of energy capacities and the development of the manufacturing industry, as well as rising prices for gold and non-ferrous metals.
In Uzbekistan, growth will be supported by significant investments and favorable gold prices.
According to EADB data, the global economy is expected to slow down in 2026: growth in the USA is projected at 1.6%, in the European Union countries at 1.1%, and in China at 4.6%.
