Kyrgyzstan Shows the Highest Growth Rate of Chinese Investments Among EAEU Countries - Analysis

According to information provided by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), China is currently implementing 160 investment projects in the EAEU countries, as confirmed by data for 2025.

As of the first half of 2025, the total amount of accumulated Chinese foreign direct investment in EAEU countries is $31.5 billion.

According to estimates, from 2016 to mid-2025, the total volume of Chinese investments in the EAEU has increased by 1.5 times, covering 160 projects.

EDB analysts emphasize that the largest portion of investments is directed towards Russia and Kazakhstan, which together account for approximately 92% of the total volume. Kyrgyzstan, on the other hand, shows the highest growth rates in this context.
