- In its annual report "Public (Municipal) Procurement of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union" for 2024, the Eurasian Economic Commission reported significant volumes of procurement. The total amount of public procurement in the Union this year reached 143.5 billion dollars.
Of this volume:
- 105.1 billion dollars (73.9%) are procurement of goods (works, services) from EAEU countries,
- 37.4 billion dollars (26.1%) — from other countries.
In 2024, 5.6 million public procurement procedures were conducted, of which nearly 70% were carried out in electronic format, indicating a high level of digitalization in the procurement sector within the EAEU.
In terms of the number of electronic procurements, the leaders are:
- Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan — 100%,
- Russia — 72.4%.
The share of competitive procedures increased by more than 50% and rose by 2.3 percentage points compared to the 2023 figures.
