- According to data from the National Statistical Committee, the volume of direct foreign investment (DFI) inflows from non-CIS countries in the first nine months of 2025 increased by 31.9% compared to the same period in 2024.

The main factor for this growth was increased investments from China (in the mining and construction sectors), Turkey (in mining, manufacturing, financial intermediation, and insurance), the Netherlands (in information and communication), and Cyprus (in manufacturing industries).

The distribution of investments by country is as follows:

China: primarily invested in mining, manufacturing (especially in the production of basic metals and finished metal products, as well as rubber and plastic products), and geological exploration.

Turkey: investments were directed towards mining, manufacturing (primarily in food production, including beverages, as well as in rubber and plastic products), and the financial intermediation and insurance sectors.

The Netherlands: investments are concentrated in information technology and communications, as well as in manufacturing (including food and beverage production).

Cyprus: investments mainly went into manufacturing, predominantly in the production of rubber and plastic products.

At the same time, the volume of direct foreign investments from CIS countries from January to September 2025 decreased by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2024, which is mainly related to a decline in investments from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
