The Director of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine, which operates under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Maksat Kocherov, conducted an unscheduled inspection on January 8, 2026. The inspection concerned the phytosanitary control points "Ak-Tilek" and the Customs Warehouse "Kant," located near the border of Kyrgyzstan with Kazakhstan. This was reported by the ministry's press service.

As a result of the inspection, instructions were issued regarding the strict adherence to phytosanitary standards during the import and export of quarantine products by all participants in foreign economic activity.

The message also emphasizes that in case of violations of the legislation related to plant quarantine, measures such as return, destruction, or disinfection of agricultural products of plant origin may be applied.

Furthermore, the task has been set to prevent the entry into the country of goods that do not meet the phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and may threaten phytosanitary safety.
