During an inspection at the "Consolidated Post," located near the "Ak-Tilek" border crossing between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, violations of phytosanitary requirements were discovered during the import of 44.2 tons of potatoes from Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The violations were identified as part of the quarantine phytosanitary measures conducted by the Department of Chemicalization, Protection, and Plant Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to paragraph 3.7 of the Regulation on the Procedure for Carrying Out Quarantine Phytosanitary Control on the Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, adopted by the Decision of the Customs Union Commission on June 18, 2010, No. 318, the cargo was returned to the sender due to the absence of a phytosanitary certificate for the product, which poses a high phytosanitary risk.
