- As reported by Bakyt Sharapov, the Deputy Director of the Veterinary Service for the Development of Animal Husbandry, Pastures, and Feed under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, funding has significantly increased this year compared to previous periods, when approximately 86-87 million soms were allocated for these purposes. The main funds were directed towards the autumn activities of 2025, as well as preparations for the spring campaigns of 2026. Vaccines and medical supplies have already been distributed to the regions and are stored under proper conditions.
According to the Deputy Director, throughout the year, 25 million 546 thousand veterinary procedures were carried out in the republic. In particular, 23 million 537 thousand procedures were for preventive vaccinations, 12 million 17 thousand for diagnostic studies, and about 738 thousand treatments against helminths, mainly in dogs, were conducted to prevent echinococcosis.
All activities were completed at 104% of the planned volume.
He also added that this year, veterinary activities in the southern regions will begin in February, while in the northern regions, they will start in March or April.
