He explained that in response to this situation, measures of state regulation were introduced, and work on controlling prices for socially significant goods and fuel and lubricants was intensified.
“According to the resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 455, the list of socially significant goods includes 16 items, including flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and other essential goods,” noted Imankulov.
By the end of December 2025, he characterized the price situation as stable. “At the moment, no significant price increase has been recorded. However, when comparing the figures with the beginning of the year, it can be noted that prices have increased by 7-10%. This increase is due to inflation and rising global prices. Overall, the price situation remains stable,” he added.
Imankulov also reported on meetings held with shop and market owners in conjunction with the Presidential Administration and relevant ministries, including the Ministry of Agriculture, during which measures to curb prices were discussed.
