A meeting of the Council on Science, Innovations, and New Technologies was held at the Presidential Administration, where the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, emphasized the importance of science and innovation for the sustainable socio-economic development of the country, as well as for ensuring technological sovereignty and national security.
During the event, reports were discussed regarding the current state, existing problems, and prospects of the scientific sphere. Special attention was given to improving the regulatory framework for the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as issues related to state support for geological research.
As a result of the meeting, the Council made a number of important decisions.
The adopted decision emphasizes that the development of science and geological research should become a priority of the state policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been proposed to implement systemic measures aimed at increasing the effectiveness of scientific activities, including the development of state order mechanisms; a phased increase in funding for the scientific sphere and effective use of resources; modernization of geological science, strengthening the human resources potential and material and technical base of scientific organizations.
