- In accordance with the master plan developed until 2050, Bishkek will be structured into five main functional areas: residential, industrial, agricultural, recreational, and special zones.

Residential areas will occupy approximately 3,500 hectares, including various types of construction—high-rise, medium-rise, low-rise, and individual houses. In the new districts, it is planned to build a residential stock with a total area of 35.75 million square meters, where more than 72% will consist of multi- and medium-rise buildings.

Public and business spaces will occupy about 2,000 hectares, which will include multifunctional centers, trade areas, as well as management and cultural institutions. Special zones dedicated to healthcare, education, and sports will cover 1,202 hectares.

It is planned to increase recreational areas to 2,500 hectares, which will include green public spaces, recreational zones, and natural landscapes.

Industrial spaces will be preserved and expanded to 2,600 hectares. It is planned to maintain the existing western and eastern industrial zones, eliminate some enterprises located along water bodies, and create new industrial and logistics sites.

Agricultural lands, including lands for gardening and farming, will be reduced to 10,370 hectares as a result of the development of other functional zones.
