The fair, timed to celebrate the New Year according to the old style, will not only be a marketplace but also a place for socializing. City residents and tourists will be able to purchase a variety of gifts and fresh products from farmers and processors, as well as congratulate each other on the holiday at the "People's Microphone" with songs and dances.

However, against the backdrop of the upcoming event, representatives of the tax service reminded that starting from January 1, 2026, everyone engaged in the sale of agricultural products must register as individual entrepreneurs. Considering the holidays at the beginning of January, many fair participants express hope for receiving individual clarifications from the tax authorities.

Farmers and processors are facing a number of questions, as they have not previously gone through the procedure of establishing an individual entrepreneur. They are interested in how the tax service will distinguish a personal QR code from that of an entrepreneur, how the funds received can be used, and how this should be documented. They are also concerned about what documents are needed to apply and whether it is possible to do this remotely, or if they will have to visit the tax office.

Additionally, farmers express concerns about the process of closing an individual entrepreneur. They note that starting a business is not difficult, but closing it can cause problems.

With hopes for assistance from the tax service, fair participants hope that specialists will be able to conduct explanatory work on-site, explaining the registration and management process for individual entrepreneurs, as well as informing about existing benefits and loans for agricultural producers.

The farmers' fair has long established itself as an important social platform for city residents and guests of the capital, providing access to products at reasonable prices and offering opportunities for information exchange. Organizers emphasize the need to maintain this format.

According to the curators, the fair continues to fulfill its main function — providing the population with affordable products. Flour and essential goods will be sold at wholesale prices, and producers will trade in turn.

- We will start our work on January 10-11, 2026. In the coming days, similar fairs will open in the Jal microdistrict, and then in Vostok-5. Tents and rest areas will also be organized here to maintain order. Farmers' fairs can be considered a kind of transformer fairs: fresh products are brought in for the weekends, after which the equipment is removed. It is important for participants to comply with price and tax requirements, - explained the curator of the fairs in Bishkek, Iskak Anvarbekov.

To get to the fair, you can take bus No. 1, which runs from Ala-Archa Gorge to the square. The fair will operate until June 2026.

Participation for farmers and processors is free; only confirmation from the district agricultural management of the Ministry of Agriculture is required, along with compliance with a price threshold below the market rate.
