The winter tourist festival "Karakol Winter Fair 2026" has started in Karakol, as reported by a Turmush correspondent.
The fair is taking place at the bus station and has attracted both locals and tourists.
The grand opening took place on January 5, and events will continue until January 7.
At the festival, various activities are organized:
diverse national dishes,
original handmade products from artisans,
a food court,
a children's area, workshops and competitions,
cultural and concert events.
As part of the celebration, competitions are also held for the titles of "Best Dry Lagman," "Best Kurma Tea," "Best Artisan," as well as performances by ethnic ensembles, folk songs and dances, and a karaoke show.
The mayor of Karakol, Kanibek Adiev, congratulated everyone on the start of this traditional winter festival and urged all those interested to join the fair, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and support local producers while spending time with family and friends.
