Videos from the ski resort located in Karakol are actively appearing online. According to the vacationers, the road to this place turned out to be seriously congested. "On our way to the resort, we encountered a huge traffic jam. As a result, we couldn't make it and decided to turn back, enjoying the picturesque landscapes along the way," shared the guests' impressions.
Meanwhile, those who were already on the resort's territory noted that it takes 30 to 60 minutes to wait in line for ski pass purchases. Additionally, many vacationers are also waiting for the lift to the ski slopes.
According to information provided by the Traffic Safety Organization Department of the Issyk-Kul region, about 3-4 thousand vehicles arrive at the Karakol ski resort daily. For instance, on January 2, 2026, around 4 thousand cars arrived at the resort. Due to such a high number of vacationers, the traffic safety officers are working in an enhanced mode to ensure road safety and prevent congestion.
Drivers are strongly advised to follow traffic rules and obey the instructions of law enforcement officers.
According to the data from the Traffic Safety Organization of the Issyk-Kul Regional Internal Affairs Department, during the 2024-2025 season, no serious traffic jams were observed, although the flow of vehicles towards the ski resort always remains significant. There are not enough parking spaces at the resort, and many tourists leave their cars along the main road, as there are not enough parking lots nearby.
