BTS will return with a new album on March 20

As reported by the musicians' agency on January 1, BTS plans to release a new album on March 20, 2026, and then embark on a world tour. This album will be the group's first in over three years, as the members paused their musical careers due to mandatory military service in South Korea. As of now, all BTS members have completed their service except for Suga, who was called up last.

Previously, the artists hinted at their return date in letters to their fans - ARMY, which included the date "2026.03.20". These messages were sent to fans by mail.

The New Year was welcomed by the group members together with fans in a live stream on the HYBE Weverse platform.

Kim Namjoon (RM) and Kim Taehyung (V) were the first to return from the military in June.

BTS debuted in 2013 under the BigHit Music label, which is now part of the Hybe media holding. On June 13, 2026, the group will celebrate 12 years since their debut.
