Turkey has introduced a visa-free regime for tourists from China
According to the established conditions, Chinese tourists will be able to stay in Turkey without a visa for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. This measure will come into effect on January 2, 2026.
This decision was made to strengthen economic ties and develop the tourism sector between the two countries. The visa waiver is linked to a noticeable increase in the number of incoming tourists from China, which has become one of the most dynamically developing tourist markets for Turkey in recent years.
According to official statistics, in 2024, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Turkey increased by 65.1% compared to the previous year, reaching around 410 thousand individuals. This was made possible by improved air connectivity and a growing interest in the country's cultural attractions.
