Next week, residents of Kyrgyzstan will be able to enjoy a shortened work week, as the New Year holidays have been extended until January 12, 2026.
The previously made decision by the Cabinet of Ministers provides for additional days off — January 8 and 9 — for employees of state and municipal institutions, as well as organizations funded from the budget.
This measure aims to create comfortable conditions for family recreation during the winter school holidays and to strengthen family values.
In addition, private companies are recommended, where possible, to implement similar approaches to ensure that employees have a better work-life balance.
This resolution will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
