The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has updated the resolution regarding the rules for the stay of foreign citizens in the country. This decision is aimed at streamlining migration regulations.
According to the new version of the document, the duration of stay for foreigners in Kyrgyzstan now depends on their nationality and the grounds for entry. For example, individuals arriving on visas or residence permits can remain in the country for the duration of these documents.
Citizens of countries that are part of the Eurasian Economic Union, such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, can stay in Kyrgyzstan for up to 90 days within any six-month period without additional permits.
For citizens of other states listed in Appendix 1 to the resolution, visa-free entry is allowed for up to 30 days within a 60-day period, unless otherwise specified in international agreements. An exception is made for citizens of Uzbekistan, who can stay in the republic without a visa for up to 60 days within a 120-day period. For citizens of Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Mongolia, the visa-free stay period is 90 days within 180 days.
For citizens of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain, a visa-free regime has also been introduced, allowing them to stay in the country for up to 180 days within a 360-day period. The principle of reciprocity applies in the absence of specific timeframes for other countries.
Additionally, it has been decided to introduce a unilateral visa-free regime for holders of United Nations passports for up to 60 days. Also, item 62 has been removed from Appendix 1 to the regulation.
