Kyrgyzstan Officially Exits the Intergovernmental Council on Oil and Gas

The government of Kyrgyzstan has approved the protocol on the termination of participation in the intergovernmental council on oil and gas, which was signed on September 28, 2012, in Yalta. This decision is the result of the country's internal procedures.

The adopted document complies with the Law "On International Treaties" and the constitutional Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers".

In accordance with the resolution, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the Executive Committee of the CIS about the completion of all internal procedures necessary for the protocol to come into force.

The government emphasized that this decision is procedural and aimed at updating the country's international obligations.

The resolution will come into effect in 10 days.
