A unified policy regarding livestock markets will be implemented in the Chuy region. This was announced by Azamat Osmonov, the authorized representative of the president of the region, at a recent regional meeting.

He noted that work will begin on organizing private livestock markets, and where entrepreneurs cannot ensure their proper functioning, municipal livestock markets will be created.

“For example, a new livestock market is being built in the Kemin district. In the Chuy district, a temporary market with necessary conditions was organized in a short time — less than 10 days. At the same time, the previous market in Tokmok was in such a state that it was impossible to enter. I also visited the municipal livestock market in the Sokuluk district, and the situation there leaves much to be desired. The accounting of livestock movement and veterinary control are carried out ineffectively, and the tariffs are unclear. All of this requires organization and the introduction of cashless payments,” Osmonov emphasized.

It was also announced that livestock markets that do not meet established requirements will be closed. Veterinary and sanitary control will become mandatory, and the movement of livestock in the markets must be strictly accounted for.

“Previously, private livestock markets operated despite non-compliance with veterinary, sanitary, and environmental standards. I consider this as negligence, which in turn is a form of corruption through inaction,” he noted.

In addition, there are plans for phased digitization of parking zones around livestock and trading markets using QR codes and automated cashless payment systems.

It is worth noting that at the end of last year, the private livestock market in Tokmok was closed due to non-compliance with veterinary, sanitary, and environmental standards. As a temporary alternative, a market was organized in the village of Vinogradnoe in the Chuy district.

The Akim of the Kemin district, Kutpidin Shakirov, who also attended the meeting, added that the construction of a modern livestock market in the Chym-Korgon ayil okmotu is planned to be completed in the near future and put into operation.
