In the village of Vinogradnoe, the work of a new livestock market has begun, where animals were delivered for sale for the first time.

Traders reported: “Separate rows have been organized for the sale of horses, cattle, and sheep. Trucks continue to operate as before, bringing livestock from farmers. Small entrepreneurs are starting to set up yurts for selling food products.”

Azamat Osmonov, the presidential representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Chui region, also visited the new market, the Turmush press service reported.

“Currently, construction work is ongoing, including the laying of gravel and landscaping of the area. The representative met with local farmers and discussed issues related to the organization of trade and working conditions at the new market. It should be noted that previously, there was a private livestock market in Tokmok, which was closed due to non-compliance with sanitary and veterinary requirements. Therefore, the new market is seen as a temporary alternative for free livestock trade. It is also worth mentioning that this project is a pilot, and its activities will be monitored for three months to make a further decision on the establishment of similar markets on a permanent basis,” the statement said.

The livestock market is located above the village of Vinogradnoe in the Chui region and covers an area of 5 hectares.

There are two access roads to it:

— from the Bishkek–Naryn–Torugart highway via a turn and then along Parkovaya and Dunlarova streets;

— via an internal road from the city of Tokmok towards the village of Saylyk.
