In the Leilek district of the Batken region, in the rural municipality of Kulundu, two Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibuses were handed over for the needs of children with disabilities and schoolchildren.

As reported by the chairman of the Kulundin rural council, Abdijapar Dosov, these vehicles were provided at the initiative of the chairman of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev.

“In Kulundu, there is a training and rehabilitation institution for children with disabilities called ‘Үмүт шооласы’. It is often difficult for parents to get there with their children. Additionally, in our district, there is a remote village, Bulak-Bashy, where homes are located up to four kilometers away from the school. In winter, it is challenging for children to get there — the roads become muddy and impassable in rain and snow. When the chairman of the State National Security Committee visited the Leilek district on December 11-12, we appealed to him for assistance in providing vehicles. The issue was resolved in a short time, and two Sprinters were handed over,” he noted.

One bus will be used for the ‘Үмүт шооласы’ school, while the other will serve the children from the village of Bulak-Bashy. Both vehicles have been assigned to the rural municipality. The rural municipality will take care of fuel and spare parts, while parents will cover the driver's salary,” Dosov added.
