The rural district of Karkyra summarizes the results of 2025.

The district includes 11 villages, with a total population of 20,692 people. In 2025, numerous activities were implemented, funded by the local budget, internal investments, grants, and funds.

Social Achievements

In 2025, important construction projects were completed in Karkyra. In honor of the 34th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, a new building for secondary school No. 28 was opened, accommodating 100 students.

In the village of Korumdu, a medical and obstetric point was built to ensure the health of the local population, as well as a police station within the district.

Additionally, construction began on new educational institutions: a school for 275 students in the villages of Kөchү and Chоng-Tash, a school for 100 students in San-Tash (3rd farm), and a kindergarten for 100 children in Sary-Tologoy.

Development of the Production Sector

In the village of Keng-Suu, the "Global Beton" plant for the production of reinforced concrete was opened, with a production capacity of 60 cubic meters of concrete per hour and a crushing production of 110-130 tons.

Additionally, in Taldy-Suu, with the support of the Tyup district development fund, a municipal small enterprise was launched with investments of 2 million 300 thousand soms. This enterprise created about 10 jobs and is establishing the production of polystyrene blocks and sand blocks.

Infrastructure Changes

At the entrance to Karkyra, a stele was installed, symbolizing the 11 villages and depicting Bugу-ene. The project cost 2 million 851 thousand soms.

In the center of the village of Taldy-Suu, a new recreational area—a park—was opened, where paving was laid over an area of 1.5 hectares, fences were installed, and street lighting and video surveillance were conducted. The park is decorated with greenery and flowers.

Three modern public transport stops were built on the main street, and to enhance road safety, traffic lights were installed at two locations.

As part of a grant program, roads were repaired: 1.5 km in Sary-Tologoy, 2 km in Karkyra, and 1 km in Taldy-Suu. In all villages, gravel was added, and about 60 km of internal roads were repaired.

Employees of the village administration, municipal enterprises, and cultural representatives actively participate in the life of the district. The head of the village administration emphasizes that 2025 has been significant for ecology, tourism, and international cultural exchange.

"The construction of the international highway Tyup-Kegen has been completed, and the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border now operates around the clock. The summer period in the Karkyra pasture attracted many guests. In 2025, we held the 'Taza Karkyra' campaign aimed at creating comfortable conditions for tourists and protecting the environment," he added.

Guests from neighboring countries attended the harvest festival "Altyn Kyz," where they witnessed theatrical performances and a concert program. As a result of the cultural exchange, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Tyup and Kegen districts in the fields of culture and economy.

Furthermore, the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Shumkar-Uya village administration of the Talas region is planned for experience exchange," reported the head of the Karkyra village administration, Rustam Cherikbaev.

He also noted that in 2026, issues related to internal infrastructure, irrigation, and providing the population with drinking water will be addressed.

"The problem of access to drinking water in Ichke-Suu and Korumdu has existed for a long time. This year, clean water was supplied to Ichke-Suu, and construction in Korumdu is 90% complete. Next year, local residents will be fully provided with drinking water. All work is under the control of responsible leaders," emphasized Cherikbaev.

There are also plans for the asphalting of internal roads, increasing the volume of irrigation works, and restoring irrigation canals. Together with the district water management office, a project is being developed for laying 6 km of new ditches and constructing a water retention basin.

During the tourist season, control over cleanliness in the Karkyra pasture will continue," concluded R. Cherikbaev.
