Before the start of the final stage of the U-23 Asian Cup, the Olympic team of Kyrgyzstan held a press conference attended by head coach Edmar Lacerda and team captain Said Datsiev.
Lacerda emphasized that the team is striving for quality play, despite the strong opponents in the group:
“We arrived at this tournament with the goal of showing organized and spectacular football. We know that our opponents are very strong, but the team is ready for this challenge and well-prepared,” he noted.
Said Datsiev also expressed confidence in the team's abilities:
“We came with a positive attitude and aim for positive results in every match,” the captain emphasized.
The first match of the tournament for the Kyrgyz team will be on January 6 against the national team of Saudi Arabia, the local host. The match will start at 22:00 Bishkek time.
