Initially, on January 6, Aimeirim's sister contacted the police, reporting that she had gone missing after meeting with a young man, Bakyt Asakeev, around 5:50 PM.
After the distribution of alerts through the media, the couple got in touch via social networks. Asakeev explained that on the day of her disappearance, they wanted to spend time alone, which led to "misunderstandings." As a result, the young people assured that they would contact their relatives only if the police statements were withdrawn.
In response to the information about the disappearance, the Lenin Department of Internal Affairs organized active search efforts, which ultimately led to locating the young people, after which Asakeev apologized for the incident.
The press service noted that the actions of the participants in the incident will be assessed from a legal perspective in accordance with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Furthermore, the Department of Internal Affairs emphasized that upon receiving reports of missing persons, they immediately mobilize significant resources for search operations. The department noted that such cases, where citizens leave without notifying their loved ones, mislead them, and can lead to a search being announced. This results in the involvement of police officers and service vehicles that could be used for more pressing tasks related to public safety and law enforcement.
