In the Kyzylkogin district of the Atyrau region, an investigation has been launched into the disappearance of a family, which became known on December 25. A local resident reported to the police that her brother, along with his wife and two adult children, had not been in contact for over a month.
As law enforcement officials found out, the family lived in the village of Zhangeldi. In November of last year, they left their home heading in an unknown direction, after which all contact was lost. According to preliminary data, the family may have headed to the southern regions of the country.
According to information from relatives, one of the sons was in contact for a while via WhatsApp, claiming that their mother was ill and they urgently needed to sell their livestock. However, he only communicated through text messages, avoiding video calls, which raised suspicions among his relatives. They were also alarmed that the family had begun selling off all their livestock, which was uncharacteristic for them.
On January 6, the police reported that the bodies of the spouses had been found. According to preliminary information, they were discovered in a shed near their home, nearly two months after their disappearance. A criminal case has been opened under the article "Murder."
Currently, searches for the two adult children are ongoing. The head of the Emergency Situations Department of the Atyrau region, Zhantore Demeshov, reported that search operations are being conducted in the areas of Shadymantubek, Besmola, and Birmola, 20 kilometers from the incident site, as well as in the Karasu area. Divers and underwater drones are participating in the operation.
According to information from a television channel, on November 5, one of the missing daughters left by taxi, and she was later captured by surveillance cameras in the Inder district. It was also reported that another daughter and her husband left Kazakhstan for Uzbekistan.
Law enforcement agencies clarified that the mobile number of the head of the family is periodically active, but no one answers the calls. The investigation is ongoing, and additional information in the interests of the investigation is not being disclosed.
