As stated by the press secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs, Nazgul Imanbaeva, the signal about the incident was received by the police today at 9:02 AM. Initially, it was known that two men had drowned in the Large Chui Canal on Auezov Street.
A forensic investigative group from the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs was dispatched to the scene. During the investigation, it was revealed that three people had drowned:
- Zh.C., 37 years old (born in 1988);
- Zh.T., 57 years old (born in 1966);
- Zh.Zh., 60 years old (born in 1963).
The body of one of the men has been found, while search operations continue to locate the remaining two victims.
The Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs emphasized that all necessary forensic examinations will be conducted in connection with the incident, and the circumstances of the tragedy are being clarified.
