An unusual event occurred on the property of one of the residents of the village of Boroldoy, located in the Kemin district — a snow leopard wandered onto his territory. This became known from the relatives of the property owner.
The incident happened on the night of December 30, when the leopard climbed a tree located on the property.
“We couldn’t even imagine that this was possible. Emergency services, police, and a game warden arrived on the scene to capture the animal. Neighbors joke that a leopard came to visit us,” said a local resident.
The footage shows how the leopard was caught by covering it with a net and placing it in a cage.
According to the Ministry of Nature, game warden J. Chokoev from the Chon-Kemin State Nature Park and hunter U. Abikanov promptly arrived at the scene, where they safely helped to bring the animal down from the tree.
