On January 6, information was received about the detention of a suspect in fraud in Bishkek, according to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.
The victim reported that on December 2, he received a message via WhatsApp from a young man with the number +4915213728804. This person introduced himself as a sugar seller and promised to deliver the product. During the communication, he convinced the resident of the capital to transfer 551,000 soms to his electronic wallet. However, after receiving the money, the fraudster stopped responding and did not fulfill his obligations.
Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The law enforcement authorities detained the young man identified as J.B., born in 2002. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The police suspect that he may be involved in other similar crimes. In this regard, they urge anyone who has fallen victim to this fraudster or has any information about his actions to contact the following numbers: 0 779 043 407 or 102.
