Asian Cup: The Kyrgyzstan National Team Lost to Indonesia

On January 29, a match of the second round of the group stage took place in Jakarta.

The Kyrgyz team started the game actively and opened the scoring in the 6th minute. The team captain struck the ball powerfully, which, after bouncing off the goalkeeper's hands, ended up in the net — 1:0.

However, the Indonesians quickly equalized, scoring a goal from a set piece in the 7th minute — 1:1.

In the 12th minute, referees from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, after reviewing VAR, awarded a penalty against the Kyrgyz for a handball by Doner Amanbaev. The opponent's forward confidently outplayed Ulan Chorobek uulu, putting his team ahead — 2:1.

In the second half, the Kyrgyz initially conceded a third goal, but then managed to quickly equalize the score. Shohrukh Mahmadaminov scored a brace, and Maksat Alimov converted a penalty — 3:3.

Nevertheless, the Indonesians left no chances and scored two more times, ultimately winning the match.

The match ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of the Indonesian national team.

Thus, the Kyrgyz team suffered their second consecutive defeat and was eliminated from the Asian Cup. The game against Korea, which will take place on January 21, will have no tournament significance.
