According to meteorologists, in the coming days, various regions of the country are forecasted to experience snowfall, wet snow, strong blizzards, and gusty winds. Specifically, on February 20, snowfall is expected in the western and central aimags, on February 21 in the central, Gobi, and eastern regions, and on February 22 in the eastern aimags.
According to the weather forecast, on February 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, cloudy weather with variable cloudiness is expected in the northwestern regions of Mongolia. Snow will be observed in the mountainous regions of the Mongol-Altai and Khuvsgul. A southwest wind will blow at a speed of 4-9 meters per second, while in the Altai mountain area and the Arts-Bogd gorge, wind speeds will reach 15-17 meters per second.
Temperature readings at Lake Uvs and in the Tes River valley will range from -16 to -21°C. In the upper reaches of the Zavkhan and Zag-Baidrag rivers, as well as in the valleys of the Idre and Yeruu rivers, the temperature will be -7 to -12°C. In the mountainous areas of Khangai and Khuvsgul, as well as in the valley of the Yeruu River, temperatures are expected to be around -3 to -8°C. In the basin of the Great Lakes and the foothills of the Khangai Mountains, as well as in the southern Gobi, temperatures will range from +8 to +13°C. In the northern Gobi and the Govi-Altai Mountains, with light snow, temperatures are expected to be +3 to +8°C, while in other regions, temperatures will fluctuate between +2 and -3°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, there will also be cloudy weather, but no precipitation is forecasted. A southwest wind will blow at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, and air temperatures will range from 0 to +2°C.
