Storm Warning: Snow Avalanches and Icy Conditions Expected in Mountain Areas and on Roads

From January 19 to 21, due to increased winds and precipitation in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, there is a risk of avalanches and ice formation, as well as snow drifts and accumulations on the roads:

- Bishkek—Osh, sections from 121 to 138 km (Töö-Ashuu Pass);

- from 198 to 255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);

- Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya, 68-74 km;

- 86-101 km (Chapchyma Pass);

- Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash, 0-3 km;

- Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alaikuu, 65-110 km;

- Karakol—Enilchek, 45-90 km (Chong-Ashuu Pass);

- Balikchy—Kazaraman—Jalal-Abad, 326-349 km (Kok-Art Pass).

When traveling on roads where avalanche-prone sections may occur, drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
