The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services commented on the incident involving the collapse of the roof of a new school built by the "As-Salam" foundation in the village of Min-Bulak, Tyup district, Issyk-Kul region.

On the night of January 18, due to heavy snowfall, part of the roof of the educational institution collapsed.

The construction of the school, which has a capacity of 150 students and is named after Islam Kasmaliev, began in 2023. The charitable foundation "As-Salam" was responsible for the construction, while the contractor was the company OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy".

The Ministry noted that the school has not yet been put into operation, as it was still in the final stages of construction, and during the roof installation process, the facility had not been accepted by the Issyk-Kul regional office of the State Architectural and Construction Control Department.

Previously, this office had repeatedly issued warnings to OsOO "Energy-Nur Stroy" regarding the construction of the school.

Following the incident, a written warning was issued to the contractor, along with a requirement to restore the facility. Currently, the roof of the school has been fully restored. Additionally, the company has been fined 200,000 soms.

The commission meeting will also discuss the issue of suspending the contractor's license.

The Ministry added that after all necessary inspections by the authorized bodies and obtaining a positive conclusion, the Issyk-Kul regional office of architectural and construction control will officially put the facility into operation.
