This exhibition explores the concept of memory as a trace of experiences and emotional imprints preserved in painting. The title of the exhibition symbolizes what remains after loss or presence, with each canvas becoming a metaphysical reflection of the artist's inner world.
Eldar Aitmatov, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, creates paintings that combine European artistic traditions with his own deep meditative practice.
His artistic style has been influenced by masters such as Theodor Herzl and Ibrahim Bakirov, as well as foreign artists — Oleg Vukolov, Toghrul Narimanbekov, and Harro Erhart.
The exhibition will feature both early works created immediately after his studies and later pieces that reflect the artist's intense creative search and artistic development.
Eldar Aitmatov, being the son of the famous writer Chinghiz Aitmatov, takes a different approach to interacting with history and cultural heritage, using the language of abstract painting, where meaning is conveyed through color, rhythm, and texture.
