The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, unveiled the tapestry "Ulut demi - Unguzhol," which translates to "The Spirit of the People - Their Original Path," on December 25 at the People's Kurultai. This significant piece of decorative applied art was made possible thanks to the support of the head of state.

The tapestry is displayed at the National Historical Museum.
The presentation of the tapestry took place on December 27. The event was attended by high-profile figures such as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov, the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirbek Mambetaliev, as well as the Chairman of the Council of the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan Almambet Matubraimov, project authors, artists, and artisans of hand weaving.

Speaking at the opening, Edil Baisalov noted that this work of art, which has already taken a prominent place on the museum's grand staircase, symbolizes the unity of the multinational people of Kyrgyzstan and their aspiration for a bright future. He added that the tapestry would become a significant symbol of a new era, accessible for understanding to the residents of the entire country.

The tapestry illustrates ideas of harmony, continuity of spiritual traditions, and national unity. Its composition organically combines historical memory, modern achievements, and a vision for the future of Kyrgyzstan. The work is created using a unique hand-weaving technique and possesses high artistic value.

The project was developed by the Honored Figure of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, artist A. A. Iskakova. Leading masters of the country also participated in the creation of the tapestry, such as the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic K. O. Orozmatov, as well as N. N. Innokentyeva, A. Nasiridin uulu, A. A. Arystanbekova, N. R. Askarbekova, K. Kymbat Urmatbek kyzy, A. M. Maeva, A. B. Junushova, A. N. Imanbekova, Shirin T. K. Tolkunbek kyzy, and T. N. Nurbekova.

The size of the tapestry is 3.30 × 6.80 meters, made from half-wool, acrylic, bamboo, viscose, and cotton, and the process of its creation took ten months.

After the opening, the tapestry took its place on the grand staircase of the National Historical Museum, becoming part of its permanent exhibition. On the day of the opening, a commemorative art sheet was also released in a limited edition of 1,000 copies, which will be distributed to the country's leadership, delegates of the People's Kurultai, the author team, and representatives of the cultural sphere.
