The program provides an opportunity for citizens receiving assistance to become individual entrepreneurs.
The certificate awarding ceremony for participants of the 'Social Contract' project took place on March 5 in the Manas and Bakai-Ata districts, as reported by the Ministry of Labor.
On that day, certificates worth 150,000 soms each were handed to 71 low-income families: 31 families from the Manas district and 40 families from the Bakai-Ata district. The event was attended by Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Medina Kairylbekova, First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Migration Kamchybek Dosmatov, as well as representatives of local authorities.
This year, 682 low-income families from the Talas region will participate in the project, which will positively impact the social situation in the region.
Kamchybek Dosmatov noted that the project helps transition needy citizens from the category of social assistance recipients to individual entrepreneurs, who not only provide for their families but also create new jobs.
Furthermore, the project contributes to regional development and the implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Kyrgyz Republic,” he added.
According to the Ministry of Labor, women make up over 94.2% of participants in the 'Social Contract' program, most of whom live in rural areas. In this regard, the First Deputy Minister congratulated all women on the upcoming International Women's Day.
