With the beginning of 2026, Kyrgyzstanis have the opportunity to enjoy the long-awaited New Year holidays. This is a time to relax from a busy year, spend more time with loved ones, and not rush anywhere. However, after a few days of home rest, parents face the question: how to make children's leisure more diverse and maintain the festive spirit?

To ensure these holidays are remembered for more than just watching cartoons and playing on gadgets, it’s worth getting some fresh air and giving children new unforgettable experiences.

Diverse theatrical performances, interactive shows, New Year trees, master classes, and other festive events will help fill these days with magic and joy.

24.kg has prepared a list of events and places to visit with children during the New Year holidays for fun and interesting activities.

Circus Show "In Search of the Fire Horse"

Celebrate the New Year 2026 with a trip to the circus! From December 20 to January 18, artists from the Kyrgyz State Circus will present the New Year program "In Search of the Fire Horse."

Audiences can expect the famous performance "Kyrgyz Dzhigitovka," as well as performances by the best acrobats on springboards, aerial gymnasts, and jugglers. Unusual eccentrics, along with Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, will embark on a quest for the Fire Horse.

"Dreams that Change the World"

From January 2 to 4, a New Year performance will take place in Bishkek at the National Center for Children and Youth "Seitek," allowing children to immerse themselves in a winter fairy tale and enjoy the show.

New Year Caravan

On January 6-7, the same center will host a colorful performance "New Year Caravan," which will take place right among the audience!

In this show, the action will unfold not only on stage but also in the hall, where fairy-tale characters, giant puppets, and performers will interact with the audience at arm's length!

Guests can expect a bright procession of characters between the rows, interactive games, and unexpected surprises from Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, as well as many magical moments: dances, tricks, and snowfalls.

New Year Labubu Show

In Bishkek, the cheerful Labubu invites you to a festive interactive performance, which will take place on January 10-11 at the National Center for Children and Youth "Seitek."

The theatrical artists, in collaboration with large two-meter puppets, create an exciting show. Professional circus acts will delight both children and adults. There will also be a snowy Father Frost and a crystal Snow Maiden. Give your children joy!

Show Program "Father Frost's New Year Toys"

The Kyrgyz State Puppet Theater named after M. Jangaziev will present the show program "Father Frost's New Year Toys" on January 3.

This magical holiday, eagerly awaited by children, includes a story about how Father Frost creates New Year toys, one of which gets lost. The Snow Maiden, a LOL doll, a Unicorn, and a clown set off to search for Labubu. The audience is immersed in a world of wonders and magic, filled with games and entertainment.

You will also enjoy the performance "Adventures of Aktan and Akylai on New Year’s Eve."

This pre-New Year fairy tale is about how Aktan and Akylai prepare to meet the New Year. A conflict arises against the backdrop of the preparations, instigated by a little devil. But one cannot enter the New Year with grievances. After resolving the cause of the quarrel, they drive away the little devil and realize that only together can they overcome all obstacles and joyfully meet Father Frost.

"The Adventures of the Wooden Boy" or Пиноккионун жыгач шаары

The Kyrgyz State Puppet Theater named after M. Jangaziev also offers the performance "The Adventures of the Wooden Boy" based on Carlo Collodi's fairy tale on January 31.

This interactive performance allows children to build a city out of wooden toys alongside the main character Pinocchio. The audience becomes participants in the performance, creating a unique city during the game, similar to the exciting adventures of Pinocchio.
Long Holidays: Where to Go with Children for True New Year Spirit

The main goal of the performance is to develop children's imagination and fine motor skills, teach spatial thinking, foster teamwork and mutual assistance skills, while introducing children to theater and awakening a love for it.

The performance is recommended for children aged three and older.

"Aibolit and Barmaley"

On January 3, the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Maldybaev will present a children's musical performance based on Korney Chukovsky's work "Aibolit and Barmaley."

Familiar characters and a plot that many current parents grew up with! The colorful action of the performance captivates the audience from the very first minutes, taking them on an unforgettable adventure in the real jungle. Together with the main characters Tanya and Vanya, the audience will find themselves in Africa, where they will meet a Crocodile, a Gorilla, a Shark Karakulu, and the amusing villain Barmaley. And the kind Doctor Aibolit will heal everyone and lift the spirits of the audience!
