The press secretary of Tokayev shared information about the president's activities
Ruslan Zheldibay, assistant and press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, published information on his Telegram channel regarding the internal and external policies of the head of state planned for 2025, reports the Kazinform agency.
The past year has been a time of significant social, economic, and political changes that have positively impacted the lives of citizens. New enterprises have opened in the country, a good harvest has been gathered, and houses, schools, and hospitals have been built, while transport routes have been modernized.
The president visited nine regions on working trips, where he inspected more than 50 facilities, including production, scientific, and socio-cultural institutions.
In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev listened to reports from 16 akims of regions and cities of republican significance.

Economic achievements
According to forecasts, in 2025, Kazakhstan's economic growth will exceed 6%, which will be a record figure for the last ten years. For the first time in the country's history, the gross domestic product (GDP) will exceed 300 billion dollars, amounting to 15 thousand dollars per capita.
Currently, 185 projects have been implemented in the country, totaling approximately 1,478.1 billion tenge, leading to the creation of more than 22.8 thousand new jobs.
Achieving full capacity for all projects will provide significant economic benefits, with production volumes reaching about 2.3 trillion tenge.
In 2025, Tokayev launched the second line of the Dostyk — Moyynty railway and the KIA Qazaqstan automobile plant in the Kostanay region. He also inspected new airport terminals in Shymkent and Kyzylorda and became acquainted with the production of passenger cars at the Stadler Kazakhstan plant in Astana.
Projects have also been initiated in the fields of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical, light, and food industries, as well as in the production of building materials.
Transport infrastructure

The president is also paying attention to expanding the transport and logistics potential of the country, aiming to make Kazakhstan the largest logistics and transit hub in Eurasia.
In 2025, work began on the repair and construction of 13 thousand kilometers of roads. New projects are being implemented over a length of 1.9 thousand kilometers, including important routes such as Center — West and sections of Karaganda — Zhezkazgan, Aktobe — Ulgaiysyn, Atyrau — Dossor.
At Tokayev's direction, three new airports are being built in Zaisan, Katon-Karagai, and Kenderli, and the restoration of the airport in Arkalyk has begun. The president supported the initiative to create the first national cargo airline to utilize the country's transit potential and access international markets.
2025 also brought new airlines and the launch of more than 35 routes, including direct flights to Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Munich.
Key railway routes, such as the second tracks of Kyzylzhar — Moyynty, the bypass road around Almaty, the new line of Darbaza — Maktaaral, and Bakhty — Ayagoz, are also under construction. Work is ongoing to modernize 124 railway stations across the country.
Strengthening the agricultural sector

Development of the agricultural sector remains one of the strategic priorities of state policy. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that "the development of agriculture is the development of villages, regions, and the entire country." In November, the II Forum of Agricultural Workers took place, where the president outlined key tasks — the development of animal husbandry, efficient land use, increasing water efficiency, modernizing irrigation systems, improving financing methods for the agro-industrial complex, and digitizing the sector.
Since the beginning of 2025, investments in fixed capital in the agricultural sector have increased by more than 20%, reaching 790 billion tenge, while labor productivity has increased by 37.3% over three years.
This year has been historic, as the volume of preferential lending for agriculture has exceeded 1 trillion tenge for the first time. Kazakhstan's production now meets 90% of domestic demand for agricultural machinery, with 19 types of equipment produced at 10 factories.
Products from the agro-industrial complex are exported to 70 countries for a total of over 5 billion dollars. Kazakhstani farmers harvested a record crop of 27 million tons of grain, as noted by the press secretary.
Digitization and artificial intelligence

In his Address, the President of Kazakhstan outlined the strategic goal of creating a full-fledged digital state within three years. Within the framework of forming a digital ecosystem in the country, significant progress has already been made in the field of artificial intelligence and digitization at Tokayev's direction.
A legislative breakthrough was achieved with the adoption of the Law "On Artificial Intelligence," making Kazakhstan one of the first countries to legally establish the foundations for regulating public relations in this area. To improve coordination of state policy in the field of AI, the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development was established.
In July, Tokayev launched the national supercomputer Alemcloud in Astana, which ranked 86th in the world supercomputer TOP-500 ranking. Additionally, JSC "Kazakhtelecom" delivered the second supercomputer Al-Farabium in Almaty, which ranked 103rd in the global ranking.
The president noted the need to prepare qualified specialists and proposed creating a specialized research university in the field of AI. The International Center for Artificial Intelligence Alemai was also opened in Astana, and the AI-Sana program has trained over 440 thousand students.
A significant event was the creation of the first Kazakhstani unicorn startup in the field of AI — Higgsfield AI.
Year of Working Professions
2025, declared the Year of Working Professions, became a time of reforms in the vocational education system and enhancing the prestige of labor. Events were held at Akorda to honor workers in the production and social spheres on behalf of the president.
By the Republic of Kazakhstan Day, about 500 workers in industry and construction received high awards, among them representatives of 138 labor dynasties. More than 130 educators and scientists, as well as over 100 medical workers, were also honored.
Special honors were given to representatives of the transport, energy, oil and gas, agricultural sectors, emergency services, as well as workers in education, science, and culture in honor of their professional holidays.
Regulatory framework

During the year, the president signed 95 laws, 388 decrees, 80 orders, 22 meeting protocols, and 3,504 official documents. The most significant were the new editions of the Budget, Tax, and Water Codes, as well as the Law "On Artificial Intelligence."
In addition, Tokayev signed the Law "On the Special Status of the City of Turkestan" and a decree granting Alatau the status of a city of accelerated development.
— These presidential decisions are aimed at creating new points of economic growth: transforming Turkestan into a cultural and tourist center and Alatau into a high-tech industrial hub, — noted the press secretary.
Kazakhstan on the international stage

Throughout the year, Tokayev made 23 foreign visits, including two state visits to Russia and Uzbekistan, five official visits to China, Jordan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Japan, as well as 16 working visits to Russia (twice), the USA (twice), Turkmenistan (twice), the UAE, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Kazakhstan has become an active platform for international dialogue: in 2025, our country hosted 30 foreign delegations, including heads of state and government from China, Italy (twice), Georgia, Uzbekistan, Slovenia, Vietnam, the UAE, Rwanda, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Jordan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Myanmar, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Finland, Estonia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Switzerland, and Iran.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held 43 telephone conversations with foreign leaders. This year, he received credentials from 30 ambassadors of foreign states during four official ceremonies.
Over the year, the president traveled 168,960 kilometers during his trips both within the country and abroad, with 252 hours spent in the air.

One of the key tasks remains the implementation of the "Listening State" concept. In 2025, the president's administration received 82,500 appeals.
To ensure quality consideration of requests, a modern digital infrastructure was created: the "eOtinish" system is connected to 50 thousand organizations and 320 thousand employees. The process of processing appeals is constantly being improved with the introduction of elements of artificial intelligence and the study of the experience of advanced digital governments such as the USA, South Korea, and Singapore.
Also important is offline dialogue: more than 150 citizen reception centers have been established in the regions, where over 360 thousand people received assistance.
