World Championship (U-20): The Kyrgyzstan National Team Defeated Hong Kong

The Kyrgyzstan U-20 ice hockey team has successfully started its performance at the third division world championship (Group B).

The tournament, featuring six teams, kicked off on January 18 in Bishkek.

In their first match, the Kyrgyz faced the Hong Kong team on the ice of the "Bishkek Arena".

The game began with an equal struggle: the first two periods ended with the same score — 0:0 and 1:1, where the only goal in the first part of the game was scored by Umar Egemberdiev.

Throughout the third period, in the middle of which, Alihan Ali-Askarov scored the second goal, and then Egemberdiev added two more goals to the opponent's net.

As a result, the match ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of the Kyrgyzstan team, which earned 3 points.

The next match for the Kyrgyz will be on January 19 against the South African team, which lost to the Mexicans in their first match.
