Bishkek Prepares for the Ice Hockey World Championship

Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, visited the "Alga" sports complex in Bishkek. He got acquainted with the training of the national ice hockey team of Kyrgyzstan, which is actively preparing for the upcoming World Championship. The press service of the state agency reported on this event.

The World Championship for U-20 youth teams (IIHF Division III-B) will take place in Bishkek at the "Bishkek Arena" ice rink from January 18 to 24.

Six youth teams will participate in the tournament: Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, South Africa, Iran, and Hong Kong.

During his meeting with the hockey players, Moldazhiyev wished them to demonstrate high skill and a desire for victory in every match.

Additionally, in a conversation with Urmat Asanbaev, the head of the "Zhashtyk" directorate, vice president of the Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Elzar Bolotbekov, and the team's head coach Alexey Hakalo, issues regarding readiness for the championship were discussed.
